Before And After

The Design Process

Understanding The Brief

It is first to undestand the existing user flow,
A new user is required to enter their car and personal details into the formfields on the website.

A typical user flow would be
At the home page,

Search For "Renew Car Insurance" ->
Enter vehicle registration number and IC number ->
Detailed vehicle information ->
Select insurer (this allows user to compare the packages and benefits of each insurer offers) ->
Payment.
So i arranged the existing user flow into Figma.
A pop up message to show an unsuccesful enquiry.

How Competitors Do It?

Learning from their direct competitors, offering similar products to the same targeted users.

The Improved Design

Improvements made :

1. I created a stepper to show users the overall journey.
2. Removed the smaller ad to reduce cognition overload.
Improvements made :

A stepper is consistently shown throughout the user journey.
Improvements made :

Radio buttons are included to prevent users from selecting more than one insurer.
While checkboxes are included at the "Benefits & Services" for users to select more than one choice.
Improvements Made On The Payment Page:

Emphasizing the  CTA button by applying a contrasting colour and having negative space around it reduces users' cognitive load.
